OH MY HECK!! Junior Colleges are soooooooo scary. I'm mortified, petrified, stupefied by their websites. I was just checking out their DSA criteria (not tt i'm interested aneeway, just busybody cos i'm so bored). The first JC i visited was Saint Andrew's Junior College. I'm really smitten by their really awesome uniform but then i saw this:

how could they put such pictures in their page? It's gonna scare the kids outta their school. I mean their uniform is really nice. Coming from the mouth of a fashionista (hahahahaha), tt pic is such a turn off. But aniway, here's their criteria for DSA
Criteria for Direct School Admission to St Andrew's Junior College
In June this year, SAJC will invite applications for admission to JC 1 in 2006 from students who are academically able and who are outstanding in at least one area of CCA. By academically able, we refer to students who would have achieved 14 points or less for their L1R5 in their secondary three final exams and the secondary four mid-year exams.

After browsing through their site, I felt uncomfortable by their tone. They sound really unfriendly.(

Okay, then i looked through ACJC, the second school with the best JC uniform.

Anglo-Chinese Junior College welcomes applications from Secondary Four students in the current academic year to take part in the Direct Admission Exercise (DSA).
We recognise your talents and will provide an environment which nurtures your abilities and enables you to reach your fullest potential.

They sound quite friendly and not very superior. It used to be my dream JC when i was in Sec 1 and 2 haha..cos their uniform totally rawks and i used to have a crush on some guy from ACS (I) whom i tot will eventually go dere.:P
    GOOD stuff about ACJC:
    1. hot guys/gals
    2. rawkin uniform
    3. very slack JC.
    4. sporty.

Alright then. now let's proceed to *drum roll* RJC. nah. let's just skip it. it's beyond anibody's reach.

Alrightie then, some of us may consider Temasek JC (TJC). my older bro's JC btw. Gosh! they've so many t-shirts. really! my bro comes out of his room every morning wearing different TJ shirts.
    Phase 1: 23rd May to 3rd June 2005

Admission CriteriaYou are eligible if you have:
    Good PSLE results
Good Sec 1 to 4 results
    Good CCA/CIP
The College will give preference to applicants who have:
    leadership experience
    service to community
outstanding achievements in CCA (National Schools Competitive Experience)
arr.. guess woot... i spotted my brother in one of the sites.. eewww.

u can go see more chio bus and shuai ges at
    http://www.tjc.edu.sg/events/hc.asp.
Aniway, to comment on their site, they sound really approachable and friendly. BUT BUT bUT. their standards are really high. their uniform is okay. it's green btw.

Next on our list is .......MJC.
yeah the principal went to our school to promote her school. oh yeah b4 i forget to mention, my bro went there for the first 3 mths and it's my older sister's alumni.from woot i observed abouth this college from my siblings, the atmosphere there is deteminance. not as competitive as other long running JCs but i respect this JC.

a lot of my pals say their uniform is really cool but i dunno... it's just okay for me.yeh..
    their criteria's quite simple:
    a. Students with outstanding leadership qualities who are interested and believed in receiving an all-round education, and are driven to excel academically; and
    b. Students with excellent CCA records who are players representing state or combined schools, or performers with outstanding talents.

The next JC tt attracts me is NYJC. their uniform's brown really nice too.

    Criteria for the DSA,
Combined School player or key players of winning teams at Zone level (1 st -4 th placing) in the following sports:
Volleyball, Basketball, Table-tennis, Canoeing, Badminton or Rugby

    SYO, SYCO members

Outstanding musician / performer who had won awards in National Music Competition or its equivalent.

From woot i've obsevered, this college may not be very keen on this DSA thing. the link to their DSA web was microscopic and u have to literally scan the homepage before u can spot the link.

    http://www.nanyangjc.org/

now the last college that i was willing to visit was the AJC website.
    http://www.andersonjc.moe.edu.sg/
Category 1a - Academic excellence Category 1b - Science Research Category 2a - Niche CCAs Performing Groups (Choir, Contemporary or Indian Dance, Chinese Orchestra, Symphonic Band)
Category 2b - Niche CCAs Sports (Volleyball, Basketball, Netball, Badminton, Air-Rifle.
dun worry about not finding the link to their DSA web. it's so flashy and gaudy u won't miss it.
neeways, the school's pretty old. i mean the building is really old
    Image hosted by Photobucket.com

yeah.. i dunno much about this jc except that lots of the kids in ma school love this JC. oh well. i'm not judging this school.
well, tt's all for now. i actually peeped at SRJC website and can u believe it? they also have DSA! uhmm.. sorry..

ohhhhkay.. so to chop chop, all i've to say is......POLY!!! I WANNA GO POLY!!!!yeah.. i better not say it too loudly or else u-know-who may hear it from grapevine and call me out for brain washing.
but then again, the only factor tt's attracting me from JCs are their uniforms. i dun mind wearing a uniform unless it's an SAJC or ACJC u.
hmmm.. wootever it is, i'm still aiming for the best result for my Os.
    okay..
    ciao.
