This is in response to the story on jipoosai's blog:
As she read the post, her blood started to boil.
" Me? So its all my fault? " She thought.
Why is it that HE who made those grave errors gets away with it while SHE has to take the blame for his plight.
Was it her who threw vulgarities and insults at her parents?
Was she a shameless liar lke HE was?
Why was she being blamed?
" No, no, no. I won't stand for this."
Colour rushed to her face as she struggled not to scream.
"Urgh, Can't you see its his problem? How can you expect to survive in this world if you hate your family? When they are the only ones who will help you out in times of need? How can you love anyone if you don't love yourself first? Why blame your parents when its not their fault you turned out like this? Can't you just accept yourself the way you are?" She ranted on and on.
She couldn't believe everyone thought she hated HIM because of those rumours.
She remembered when those rumours didn't bother her.
When it bothered him.
She remembered that day when he broke his promise to her just to avoid hearing catcalls.
It was a promise. Albeit a small one but one none the less.
She remembered the hurt feelings she felt when everyone insisted that she liked him.
For in her eyes he was nothing more than a friend.
And now.
Look at them now.
They will never be friends again because she was disgusted by his actions, his words and his behavior.
Rumours never affected how she treated him then.
She continued talking to him, going out with him and being close friends with him.
But something happened in the fateful month of June.
Something that changed her view on him drastically.
For she saw how proud and insuinating he could get.
How he got carried away bragging and hurting her.
What about their friend ship then?
Did he give a damn?
Not in her eyes.
Perhaps he was insensitive.
But she didn't care.
She started avoiding him for fear of more insults he might make.
And once, she even confronted him.
Asked him to own up to something he had done in the dark.
Asked him to admit that he had been selfish.
But no.
He adamantly denied.
She accepted his denial.
But it only added more distaste to their friendship.
She wanted out of the whole thing.
She wanted nothing to do with him.
But it was impossible.
For her teacher's orders had placed them in a specific position where she could not avoid him.
And then came the defamation of his own parents.
To her it only added more reasons for her to break off their friendship.
She was shocked by the posts she read.
Shocked, disgusted and revolted.
Every little mistake that he had made in the past came to her mind.
She began to question her intuition.
What had made her befriend him?
Definitely NOT attraction of any kind.
She wasn't sad that their friendship had fallen into ruins.
And people might think that she hated him to the core but she didn't.
She just wished to move on.
And ignore his very existence.
For what kind of monster would curse his own parents when it was they who gave him life?
How could those beloved figures owe their son anything when everything that he had achieved was only made possible by them?
How can those 8 or 9 months of suffering sow such hatred in return?
She shook her head at the memory of his vulgar accusations to his parents.
Who is carrot indeed.
She did not believe that he knew nothing of her dislike of him.
He just chose to ignore it.
For he was dependant on his "friends" in school.
She was not so cruel, as to overlook his past merits as well.
She knew him as a reliable person, who carried out his given duties when others ran off to play with their friends.
She knew him as a stable person, who stood by his friends when the rest had left.
But his misdeeds greatly overshadowed his merits.
She had seen a side of him she had never known.
And thus their friendship could never be the same again.
He was to her, a misguided soul who had lost sight of the better things in life.
In his rush to gain everyone's acceptance, he rashly insulted people in his path.
No one was ready to accept what he was becoming into.
And people who didn't know the whole truth tried to find the causes of his plight.
Sadly, they had found the wrong lead by blaming her.
" If no one acknowledges his wrongs, God will deal with him," she thought.
And with that, she clicked on the orange button on her screen, marked "Publish Post".
